English: Nobody bangs it better! Our beloved master of catchy tunes with a track attitude is in to teach us another lesson in the shape of his second EP on iD.EOLOGY.

From a loungy and dubby start the guru takes us straight to the madness of a proper club-banger, only to slow down and then let us off into the extatic euphoria of some poppy indian vibes.

As the smart disciples we are, we follow the path the master has shown us, and we cheerfully smile after we´ve learned another lesson: the bang is all about controlling the energy-flow.

Deutsch: Keiner bangt wie er! Unser geliebter Meister der eingängigen Singstücke mit Trackattitüde ist anwesend, um uns in Gestalt seiner zweiten EP auf iD.EOLOGY eine neue Lektion zu erteilen.

Von einem loungigen und dubbigen Anfang nimmt uns der Guru mit auf die schwindelnden Höhen eines waschechten Club-Bangers, nur um sodann die Geschwindigkeit zu reduzieren und uns in die ekstatische Euphorie indisch angehauchter Pop-Vibes zu entlassen.

Und als die gelehrigen Schüler, die wir nun mal sind, folgen wir dem Pfad, den der Meister uns gewiesen hat. Ein fröhliches Lächeln erstrahlt auf unseren Gesichtern, als wir die zweite Lektion gelernt haben: Der Bang entsteht erst durch einen kontrollierten energetischen Flow.

Eclipse 323 est un disque de glitch-hop downtempo d'excellent acabit. L'utilisation du laptop, l'approche des breaks, des cuts ainsi que les liquides et fines mélodies font penser à la superbe école Flying Lotus, en certes plus spatial.
Geskia aurait pu se contenter de ça, le hip-hop "futuriste" et "sci-fi" connaissant actuellement de belles heures de gloire. Avec beaucoup de maîtrise technique et ne souffrant jamais d'excès dans la superposition, ce japonais parvient aisément à insérer de cristallines sonorités acoustiques et des phases superbement lugubres qui rappellent le trip-hop du début des 90's.
Ideal Copy (digne de Flying Lotus), Drawing Dawing et Inside Out Nights en sont les meilleurs exemples.
Un seul et minuscule regret : les tracks sont parfois trop courts.
Non content de signer un des meilleurs disques du genre cette année, Geskia s'entoure de la crème abstraite et underground sur les trois remixs qui concluent le disque. Bracken, Caural, mais surtout l'exceptionnel Lukid y vont de leur jolie contribution.

Les charts ne devraient plus tarder à fourmiller de ce hip-hop cybernétique et racé. Face à cette inéluctable indigestion potentielle, il sera nécessaire de faire un tri. Dans une ombre relative, Geskia fait assurément partie des fers de lance du genre, en compagnie de Lukid, Dorian Concept et Flying Lotus. Un "must-have", tout simplement.

La mélancolie scandinave comme un vent léger à travers bois, et déjà plus qu'une marche pour l'automne, nous sommes dans un film noir et blanc français des années 60. C'est l'univers de Katrine Ottosen, fortement esthétique et d'une certaine façon universel. J'ai un sentiment étrange d'avoir déjà entendu ou rêvé cette musique pleine de subtilité et de sensibilité rendant les chansons presque nues, transparentes.

Scandinavian melancholy like a light wind through a forest, and already one step before autumn, we are in a black and white French movie from the Sixties. This is the universe of Katrine Ottosen, strongly aesthetic and a certain way universal. I have a strange feeling about already to have heard or dreamed this music full with subtlety and sensitivity making the songs almost naked, transparent.
