Delroy Reid, dit Junior Reid est un chanteur de reggae jamaïcain né à Kingston en 1965. Il est avec Michael Rose, l'un des plus illustres représentants du Waterhouse Style. Son premier single "Know Myself" parut en 1979. Il fut chanteur principal de Black Uhuru de 1986 à 1990 et quitta le groupe suite à un problème de visa pour une tournée aux États-Unis, qui lui inspira la chanson Visa. Son plus grand hit à ce jour reste One Blood (plus de 2 millions d'exemplaires vendus) . Il travaille aujourd'hui en auto-production grâce à son label JR.

Il est présent sur les titres One Blood Under W et One World de l'album The W du Wu-Tang Clan, sorti en 2000 et collaborera aussi avec The Game, pour une reprise de "One Blood" sur l'album "Doctor's Advocate" sorti en 2006. En 2008, fidèle à son habitude de rapprochement avec les rappeurs, il collabore avec Rohff sur le titre Progress.

Tony (né en 1955) commence à chanter au début des années 1970 aux côtés de Sugar Minott et Derrick Howard (connu aussi comme producteur sous le nom de Eric Bubbles). A eux trois, ils forment l'excellent groupe "The African Brothers" et enregistrent nombre de 45 tours de 1971 à 1978, notamment "No Cup No Brook" (Coxsone), "Hold Tight" (Clive Chin), "Party Night", ou "Mysteries Of Nature". Entre 75 et 78, ils créent leur propre label Ital (différent de Ital Music) et font paraitre 4 titres dont le fabuleux "Torturing". Ils apparaissent sur une face d'un mini LP, sur l'autre face Sugar Minott, alors star grandissante, chevauche des riddims classiques de Studio One.
Il ne fallu pas longtemps avant qu'il ne vole de ses propres ailes vers une carrière plus que prometteuse. Derrick Howard se tourna vers la prod et Tony Tuff poursuivit, non sans succés en Jamaique, une carrière solo. Nous sommes en 1978. Notons qu'en 1976, il s'autoproduit (sur son propre label "Winston", créé pour l'occasion) : "I'm So Glad", pièce de collection comme on peut l'imaginer !
Il fait souvent les choeurs sur les prods de son ami Sugar (Black Roots) et travaille pas mal avec Junjo Lawes de chez Volcano : "Fire Burns", "Weeping & Wailing", "Water Pumpee" et aussi avec Yabby You qui d'ailleurs produira un de ses albums en 1980 avec les excellents "Jah Almighty", "Rumours Of War" et "Don't Follow Bad Company". Il co-produit son second album avec Ranking Joe, le LP s'appelle "The Best Of Tony Tuff" alors qu'il n'est pas une compilation. Au début, des années 80, Tony est à Londres et enregistre un album pour Island, produit et reconnu comme chanteur (à cette époque où les DJ étaient rois et trés nombreux).
Avant de sombrer dans l'oubli, lentement mais surement vers la fin des 80's, il a le temps d'enregistrer plusieurs albums roots et même digitaux (Justie, Jammy...), de grande qualité, où l'on peut apprecier pleinement ses talents de chanteur et sa voix. Il continue de faire quelques apparitions encore de nos jours sur le label anglais de Gussie P "Sip A Cup" et grâce à l'initiative du label français Zenah Music qui a permi la reformation des African Brothers en 2004 pour un dernier album intitulé : "Mysterious Nature" (Zenah Music/Discograph).

Lion Zion was a young American reggae artist who showed up at the Black Ark one day to record. While some don't rate this album that highly, it is enjoyable listening and completely unique. With constant references to American situations, the material is in some ways even more relevant today than it was in 1976. Highlights include "Arise America", "Who Killed The Buffalo", and the humorous "Gas Guzzler". A nice album that certainly needs to be given a CD re-issue.

Malika “MotherSista” Madremana is honored to introduce herself in representation of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I and all freedom fighters in the liberation struggle.

Malika Madremana is a Puerto Rican sista, born in New York City and raised in Cali, who has spent a lifetime on stage. Since the age of four, Malika has been singing and dancing in musicals and choirs. As a teen, she entered Performing Arts School to pursue voice. It was at this age that Malika was manifesting a strong consciousness against the system and its wrongdoings. Rastafari manifested in her life shortly after- and reggae music had the greatest impact and influence upon her ever since. Heavily influenced by the legends such as Bob Marley, the I-three’s, Abyssinians, Hugh Mundell, Jacob Miller, etc…she began writing and composing songs.

Malika officially began her baptism into the reggae field as a background singer and vocal arranger for a number of prominent and heartical artists. She has toured and performed abroad and internationally with legends such as Wadi Gad, Yami Bolo, Apple Gabriel, the Mighty Diamonds, Mikey Dread, Roots Natty, among many others. Malika has performed at numerous festivals and shows including the Ragamuffin festival in Long Beach, the Sierra Nevada Music Festival, Bob Marley Day Festival, Dreadstock, and the Monterrey Reggae Festival.

Livicated to the power of the music and the potential of the stage, Malika began her first album project in 2002 with the talents of producer/artist Blaaklung (Greensphere Records). Their efforts manifested in the album “Healing”, made up of 15 tracks of roots, dancehall, lover’s rock, and rockers cuts that established her as a songwriter and an upcoming artist to watch.

Malika Madremana is pleased to bring forth her newest release “Elixir”out of Greensphere Records/Madremana Music. This work was a blessed collaboration of talents and livity including the production of Blaaklung and the tribtutions of artists Batch, Tuff Lion,Vince Black, Kenyatta Itola, and Ras Attitude. Elixir is sure to exemplify Malika’s growth as a vocalist and songwriter. She wrote and co-produced 16 tracks of more roots, rockers, and conscious danehall tunes with uplifting lyrics that are intended to educate, as well as heal, with a smooth and fulfilling sound that’s like elixir to the ears.

The year 2007 is wide open for Malika Madremana to continue introducing herself to the world. Look forward to her bringing her “Elixir” for the Healing of the Nations…..
